Earlier this week I was awakened with a very different kind of word from the Lord than I am used to. As I wrote it down, I said, “Lord, what am I supposed to do with this?’ All I knew is that I needed to pray, seek insight, and wait upon the Lord to reveal what I needed to focus on as a result of His spoken word. I am not yet released to speak the content of the word, but I am compelled to share the insight and revelation He has given me.
I will begin with a small excerpt from this prophetic word … “People will wonder ‘what is going on’, ‘why is this happening’, ‘what do you think this means?’ It will cause the FEAR and WONDER of the Lord to permeate the hearts and minds of the people, for they will know that something has caused this to happen.“
Right away I knew that I was supposed to dig deeper in order to really begin to understand “the laws of sowing and reaping”, “the parable of the wheat and tares”, and “the FEAR of the Spirit of the LORD”. I spent several days reading and praying while reading Matthew 13. This chapter contains many parables of “The Kingdom of God is like…” I will leave that to you to dig into, as I believe I am to focus in this word on THE SPIRIT OF THE FEAR OF LORD! Follow along with me in Acts chapter 5 as we take a look at the recounting of the REAL story of Ananias and Sapphira! I say ‘real’ in capitals because it is no longer a bible story that we can afford NOT to understand. No, rather it is a TODAY word that the Lord is highlighting as He calls us to true personal repentance, submission, and preparation … for the Spirit of the FEAR of the Lord is about to be poured out!
I would like to ask you to take a few minutes and read Acts 5 before continuing with what I have to say. This will lay the groundwork and overview of what I am sharing. This is truly a word, revelation, prophetic word that deserves a VLOG (video) instead of a BLOG, but I don’t yet feel called or equipped for that. Only God knows if that is in the future, as I am not looking for an audience, but simply to be faithful to the Lord in what He is saying and doing with me.
Remember this as you follow along with me, that the FEAR OF THE LORD fell upon them after they saw these things! When they saw the death of both of these who dared to steal and then lie to the Lord … the FEAR of God fell upon them! The word spoken to me was about a ‘certain happening’ that will set off a series of events and cause the FEAR OF THE LORD to fall upon people! Here is what happened in Acts 5:
1). Ananias and Sapphira sold their farm – absolutely their right to do so
2) They conspired amongst themselves to DECEIVE (not lie)
3). The Lord EXPOSED their conspiracy to Peter
4) Peter confronted Ananias with … why did you let Satan fill your heart to think you could lie to the Holy Spirit? (They didn’t just lie … they LET Satan fill their hearts)
5). Ananias pretended to be submitting ALL to God. It was theirs to give or not to give, so the deadly sin was not holding back money, it was the conspiracy with Satan himself to think they could lie to the apostles and to the Holy Spirit about their plan. They plotted in their heart with Satan and each other.
6). The moment Ananias heard these words, he was EXPOSED … and then he fell over dead! Everyone immediately felt the FEAR of the LORD! The heavy weighty reverential awestruck fear and wonder of The Almighty!
7). Sapphira, not knowing what had happened, was given the opportunity to change her agreement and her part in the plot when she was asked “Is this what happened?”, but she CHOSE to stay in agreement with the plot that had been instilled in their hearts by Satan! How many people will be and are being given the opportunity to repent for their part in a plot? And, will they repent or think they can get away with plotting against God and His Church? For the agreement was this … they agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord! How many people are right now caught in the agreement to steal, cheat, and lie as they test the Spirit of God? Currently, there is a huge conspiracy against God, His plans, and His people by those who have plotted and agreed IN THEIR HEART to steal, cheat and lie against the Holy Spirit? It’s a dangerous place to be!
8). As the justice of God fell in the room, the entire church was seized with a powerful sense of the fear of God, which came over ALL who heard what happened! Again, this is what the Lord said to me … it will cause people to fear, to wonder, to search for meaning, and will cause the fear and wonder of the Lord to permeate the hearts and minds of the people for they will know that something has caused this to happen!
Oh WOW, Lord … this is so much bigger than I understood. This is a game-changer in so many ways! It deals with the plot and conspiring together against the Holy Spirit! It also deals with the death blow to those involved … even after being given one more last-minute chance to repent. It deals with all those who saw what happened as … The Spirit of The Fear of God fell upon them! WOWZA! This is biblical.
So, let’s take a look at what immediately followed – the very next part of the storyline is the result of THE SPIRIT OF THE FEAR OF THE LORD falling upon them! Epic signs, wonders, and miracles. People turning to Jesus and coming from all over to do so! Even the overshadowing upon Peter brought healing to those he passed by!
The apostles performed many signs, wonders, and miracles among the people. And the believers were wonderfully united as they met regularly in the temple courts in the area known as Solomon’s Porch. No one dared harm them, for everyone held them in high regard. Continually more and more people believed in the Lord and were added to their number—great crowds of both men and women. In fact, when people knew Peter was going to walk by, they carried the sick out to the streets and laid them down on cots and mats, knowing the incredible power emanating from him would overshadow them and heal them. Great numbers of people swarmed into Jerusalem from the nearby villages. They brought with them the sick and those troubled by demons—and everyone was healed! Acts 5:12-16
There were not only signs, wonders, and miracles, but the mighty power of God to transform lives was present! People turning to God, changing their lives, joining the cause for Christ in unprecedented ways and numbers. People came from all over to encounter God. These encounters were no longer experiences that made people feel good, but they were encounters that shook them to the core, and empowered them to change. The empowerment to KNOW God that comes from the awestruck wonder and fear of The Almighty!
The Spirit of the Fear of the Lord is both the beginning and the end of the 7 Spirits of God. Everything is enveloped within the One Spirit! As the fear of the Lord falls upon the church … all the other expressions of the Holy Spirit will begin to fall and manifest. They are all wrapped up in the SPIRIT OF THE FEAR OF THE LORD! Harvest, revival, healing, miracles all happen when the FEAR of the LORD comes upon the people! When the BAPTISM of the FEAR OF THE LORD comes upon us … everything will change! In a flash … it will change.
The Holy Spirit is speaking … warning us to get ready for the FEAR of the Spirit of the Lord is coming soon! When this happens it will not be as it has been, but it will be with the awestruck wonder of a righteous God. This type of presence brings with it the holiness, righteousness, and reverence of The Holy One of Israel. All the power of the Holy Spirit is enveloped within this one aspect of the Seven Spirits of God … the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord.
We are about to see this move of God sweep in, but it will look very different because He is coming in power to cleanse, heal, baptize, deliver, and empower His people! He is calling us to “get right” with Him – to position ourselves for this outpouring because soon a time will arrive where the heavy, weighty, mighty presence of God will be made known. This is the presence that sin and unrighteousness cannot withstand. Will we be those who repent and bow to Jesus or like those who conspire in our hearts with the enemy to oppose God? Remember that Ananias and Sapphira were “among them – as one of them” … they were not outsiders!
The Spirit of the Fear of the Lord does not mean we are fearful of the Lord. It means that we have a reverential, awe-struck, open-heart before our King. We can not play church at this time! We must recognize that He is holy and greatly to be praised as we submit our lives to Him completely and totally. We can no longer pick and choose which parts of Him and His word we will allow having preeminence in our lives. Hallelujah! It’s going to be amazing, but please do not take this cavalierly, because there are two sides to this coin … justice and mercy! We have the opportunity to position ourselves on the right side and move into the modern-day Book of Acts … AFTER the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord falls!
Here are a few videos I found along the way of studying and digging into what God was saying to me in this powerful spoken word. They helped me come into the understanding of what God was relaying to me. I came across this video by Carol Arnott from several years ago. God has been paving the way and calling His Church to get ready. I believe we are now on the verge of the appearance of justice that will release the awestruck fear and wonder of our God upon the people of the world.
And yet, another video I came across! I believe God is speaking, don’t you? All of a sudden messages on the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord are being put forth! God is about to do something that will cause THE SPIRIT OF THE FEAR OF THE LORD to fall upon The Ekklesia and things will change dramatically! Revival is going to look very different from what we have thought! The holy, awesome, mighty God is about to fall and reveal Himself as we have never known! They knew it in the Book of Acts! Oh my, let’s get ready!!!! This video is outstanding teaching on the Holy Spirit! Let’s get right, and let’s get ready for something awesome is about to happen and we will never be the same again! Amen and Amen! Let it be, Lord!
